Now is a very good time to be in the market for a new mattress. For some reason, Presidents’ Day weekend is when all our favorite bedding brands go all in on the discounts. (And I should know, since I sleuth out the best mattress deals on the internet every month.) Most brands are taking off at least $100, and others are throwing in free pillows or sheet sets. So I’ve rounded up all the deals we’ve found so far — and we’ve even secured a few codes that are exclusive to Strategist readers. Amazon
You can usually find Amazon price-matching mattress sales, no matter the time of year. But we also found a few that are an even better deal — like the Purple, which is $200 less at Amazon than on the brand’s website, and Casper’s Original mattress, which is $50 cheaper.
If having an ecofriendly mattress is important to you, Avocado’s Strategist-approved sleep products are constructed using sustainable, nontoxic materials and processes. Avocado’s mattresses are up to 20 percent off, depending on which size and style you select. The Eco Organic mattress is a budget-friendly pick for sleepers who don’t have any specific mattress requirements or sleep concerns. The queen size is $100 off.
Bear Mattress
Until March 4, Bear is offering 35 percent off sitewide and throwing in two cloud pillows, a sheet set, and a mattress protector with all mattress purchases. The brand’s Original mattress is a solid choice for athletes who want a bed that promotes muscle recovery after workouts.

Nectar makes our favorite overall memory-foam mattress, which our former senior editor Casey Lewis (and current writer of the newsletter After School) says is firm enough to share with her fidgety pitbull-boxer. Despite this mattress’s overall dense structure and feel, the softer top layers of foam supply it with “just the right amount of give.” (We’ve also found that it’s great for hot sleepers.)
